Sunrise Lane review

Sunrise Lane is a quick and easy-to-learn game that reminds me of Ticket to Ride or Manhattan. The goal is to build up a residential neighborhood by placing houses on strategically chosen plots of land. The game is simple enough for casual players, but it has enough depth to keep experienced gamers entertained as well. I really enjoy the different strategies you can employ to maximize your score, and the game can be played in a variety of ways.

One of the things I particularly liked about Sunrise Lane is the use of 3D houses. They add a nice visual touch to the game, although some reviewers have noted that they can be a bit difficult to stack. I personally didn't have any issues with the stacking, but it is something to keep in mind.

However, there are a few issues with the game that I wanted to highlight. The most common complaint among reviewers is the quality of the board. Several people have reported that their boards snapped in half during their first play. Thankfully, I didn't experience this issue, but it does seem to be a recurring problem. The colors on the board are also a bit of a problem. The red and purple colors are very similar, which can be confusing for players. It's easy enough to fix this with a little bit of colored ink, but it's still a minor annoyance.

Despite these issues, I still think Sunrise Lane is a great game. The gameplay is engaging, the rules are easy to learn, and the game is quick to play. If you're looking for a light, fun game to play with friends or family, I would definitely recommend checking out Sunrise Lane.
