Sherlock Holmes Consulting Detective: Carlton House & Queen's Park
Sherlock Holmes Consulting Detective: Carlton House & Queen's Park review
This latest installment in the Sherlock Holmes Consulting Detective series takes us to the Victorian streets of London, but this time we're venturing into new locations like Carlton House and Queen's Park. I was immediately drawn to the new house map, which adds a new layer of depth to the gameplay. The game itself is easy to pick up, but it definitely keeps you on your toes, especially when playing with a group of friends or family.
While I've really enjoyed the previous games in the series, this one has a few drawbacks. I found myself getting bogged down by the typos and grammatical errors, which are particularly prevalent in the Queen's Park cases. In some instances, these errors made it difficult to decipher clues and follow the story.
Despite the editing issues, this game still offers a compelling and challenging experience. Each case requires careful attention to detail, and you'll need to think like Sherlock himself to crack the mysteries. While the cases in this set weren't as compelling as some of the previous ones, they were still engaging and enjoyable. However, I would recommend playing through the first game in the series before diving into this one, especially if you're new to the Sherlock Holmes Consulting Detective experience. It's a game that requires a certain level of patience and attention to detail, and the editing issues can make it more frustrating than it should be. Overall, while I'm a little disappointed with the quality of the editing, I still recommend this game for fans of the series or anyone looking for a challenging and engaging mystery game. Just be prepared to overlook a few typos and clunky sentences along the way.
