Shadows of Brimstone: City of the Ancients review

Shadows of Brimstone: City of the Ancients is a fantastic addition to the Shadows of Brimstone universe. I've been a fan of the series since the original Kickstarter campaign, and this expansion does not disappoint. The game is fast-paced and exciting, with a heavy dose of Western-themed horror that really sets it apart from other dungeon crawlers. I love the character creation system, allowing you to build a unique hero to match your play style. The campaign system is also well-designed, providing a sense of progression as your posse grows in strength and experience.

The City of the Ancients expansion introduces a new Otherworld, with its own unique set of challenges and enemies. I've been particularly impressed with the mechanical keepers – they add a new layer of strategic depth to the game. While the miniature assembly can be a bit tedious, especially for smaller figures, I find the painting process to be very rewarding. The game looks absolutely stunning with painted miniatures, and it's a great way to personalize your experience.

Overall, I highly recommend Shadows of Brimstone: City of the Ancients to any fans of dungeon crawlers or Western-themed games. It's a well-designed, immersive experience that offers plenty of replayability. If you're looking for a cooperative game with a unique setting and a great sense of adventure, look no further!
