Dungeon Command: Heart of Cormyr
Dungeon Command: Heart of Cormyr review
Dungeon Command: Heart of Cormyr is a fun, fast-paced skirmish game that combines elements of trading card games and strategy board games. It's easy to learn but offers plenty of depth for experienced players. I was initially hesitant to try Dungeon Command because I'm a big fan of Dungeons & Dragons and I wasn't sure if I'd like the card-driven combat system. However, after playing a few games, I was hooked. The gameplay is strategic and engaging, and the miniatures are high quality and beautifully painted.
The Heart of Cormyr faction pack includes a diverse range of heroes, from a human ranger to a dragon knight, each with their own unique abilities and strengths. The miniatures are pre-painted and look great on the battlefield. I also really appreciate the inclusion of two "large" and two "small" double-sided dungeon tiles. The tiles are modular and can be arranged in a variety of ways to create different battlefields. I've found that the terrain can really impact the flow of the game, especially in the later stages.
One of the things I like most about Dungeon Command is that it's very customizable. Players can mix and match different faction packs to create their own unique warbands. They can also use the miniatures and tiles from Dungeon Command in other Dungeons & Dragons board games, such as the Adventure System games. I've found that Dungeon Command is a great way to expand the possibilities of my other D&D games.
Overall, I highly recommend Dungeon Command: Heart of Cormyr. It's a fun, strategic, and well-made game that's sure to provide hours of entertainment. I've found it to be a great way to spend time with friends and family, and I'm excited to see what other faction packs Wizards of the Coast releases in the future.
