Days of Ire: Budapest 1956 review

This game is a really interesting take on the Hungarian Revolution of 1956. It's a card-driven wargame, similar to Twilight Struggle or Labyrinth: War on Terror, but with a cooperative element that makes it more accessible to players who might be intimidated by traditional wargames.

The game is played over seven days, the last week of October 1956. The Soviet player tries to control the narrative by playing headline cards, while the revolutionaries must collect resources and fighters to survive. The revolutionaries have to manage their positions and morale, and they can win by resolving enough events to keep the revolution going.

I really enjoyed the historical context of the game, and the card-driven gameplay was engaging and strategic. The cooperative aspect was also a nice touch, as it allowed me to play with my friends and work together to achieve a common goal. I'd recommend this game to anyone who enjoys historical games, card-driven games, or cooperative games.
