Catan Card Game review

I've been a fan of the original Settlers of Catan for years, but it can be a struggle to get enough people together to play. When I heard about the Catan Card Game, I was excited to finally have a way to enjoy the game with just my partner. While it's not quite the same as the board game, it's a fun and engaging alternative, especially for two players.

The card game has a different gameplay than the board game. Instead of collecting resources on the board, you rotate cards to increase the amount of each resource you have. There's also an event die that adds a layer of unpredictability. I find the card game to be a bit more strategic than the board game as well, especially with the addition of the expansion cards. You can win by focusing on knights, settlements/cities, or buildings, which adds more depth to the game.

That being said, there are some downsides to the card game. One major drawback is the amount of table space it takes up. The setup is pretty expansive, and you'll need a decent-sized table to comfortably play. Some reviewers also mentioned that the rules can be a bit confusing, although I didn't find this to be a major problem.

Overall, I would definitely recommend the Catan Card Game to anyone who enjoys the original game but struggles to find enough players. It's a fun, strategic game that offers a great way to enjoy Catan with just two people.
