Blockbuster
Blockbuster review
I recently picked up "Blockbuster" and I'm really glad I did! This movie-themed game is a hoot for anyone who enjoys a good film. It's basically a two-part game: the first part is a fast-paced "buzzer battle" where teams try to shout out movies based on a given topic. The second part is a "Triple Charades Jeopardy" where you have to act out, quote, or give a one-word clue for a movie.
The buzzer battle is a ton of fun, especially with a group of friends who know their movies. It's a great way to see who really is the movie buff of the group. The Triple Charades Jeopardy is where the game really shines though. It's hilarious to watch your friends try to guess movies based on your terrible acting skills.
Some reviewers have mentioned that you need to be a movie aficionado to enjoy the game, but I don't think that's entirely true. Sure, it helps to know a lot of movies, but the game also has some really common and easy ones, too. There's definitely something for everyone to enjoy. I even played with a group of friends who aren't huge movie buffs, and we all had a great time.
This game is a great way to spend an evening with friends or family. It's fast-paced, fun, and engaging. Plus, it's a great conversation starter, especially for those of us who love to talk about movies.
I would definitely recommend "Blockbuster" to anyone looking for a fun, social game to play with friends or family. It's a great way to relax, laugh, and maybe learn a few new movies along the way!
